Forest Holidays Accommodation
Study
We provided a scoping study on the
future business potential of the Forest Holiday product in
the United Kingdom and in particular the opportunity to
expand the portfolio of forest cabin sites. Forest
Enterprise through its Forest Holidays product has an
established brand with strong customer loyalty through its
three existing sites. The report represented a broad
analysis of the market potential and provided a framework to
underpin future development strategy.
Forest Holidays
We continue to work with the senior management team
helping to assess potential site opportunities for Forest
Holidays to expand their number of lodge sites. Forest
Holidays are the leading provider of self catering lodge
breaks in the UK and they have recently introduced new
innovative tree house accommodation to find out more visit

Oaksey Park, Wiltshire
An award winning second home development. Our work focussed
on preparing the business strategy, including financial
modelling and planning advice to develop 12 second homes in
the Cotswolds. The cottages have won the EcoHomes Excellent
award.
Holiday Homes, Devon
We were commissioned to produce a financial model to
demonstrate the viability of holiday home development of 150
apartments. The development is located in a traditional
seaside resort town.
Evolution Leisure Village
We carried out a feasibility study to
assess the viability of developing Evolution Leisure Village
in Staffordshire. The proposed Village could incorporate a
number of lodges set in existing woodland with an emphasis
on design that minimises the impact on the forest's flora
and fauna, a central village area designed with a range of
facilities including restaurants, swimming pools and
landscaping, two lakes, one of which will be dedicated to
leisure activities along with a network of paths and cycle
lanes using existing tracks and paths where possible. The
scheme could provide up to 1,600 jobs once operating.
Importantly the proposed Village is the UK's first proposed
holiday destination that generates its own energy through
one of four proposed wind turbines in the heart of
Staffordshire.
Holiday Village, Cornwall
Working for a construction company we
were commissioned to provide strategic development advice
for the redevelopment of a ‘traditional holiday village’
into a luxury holiday resort. The proposed developed
includes over 300 lodges and central leisure facilities. Our
work also included detailed financial modelling to support
funding applications.
Oasis Forest Holiday Village
Carried out
the product development work on a new “breed” of sustainable
forest holiday villages from the initial concept design,
detailed market assessment, public consultation, planning,
development strategy, bench-marking, developing the business
plan and project supervision for the Oasis Village. The
development includes 750 accommodation units, restaurants,
retail and entertainment areas and a village centre. The
‘Village’ also includes a spa and a large sports and fitness
centre. The development value is £120 million per village
and brings considerable economic impact on the local rural
and wider regional economy – both during the construction
and operational phases.

Self Catering Lodges, Southern
England
We were commissioned to assess
the potential of introducing self-catering eco-lodges within
a woodland location in southern England. Our work focused on
carrying out a site review, a market assessment, identifying
the optimum number of lodges the site could accommodate
along with the key product requirements, setting out capital
costs and preparing a detailed financial model including a
cash flow analysis.
