Development Plan - River Lambourn Urban Restoration Project
We worked with Resources for Change to
complete an Audience Development Plan for the final 2.5km of
the River Lambourn as it flows through Newbury, Berkshire.
The plans will support a bid in the region of £1 million to
the Heritage Lottery Fund. The project aims to bring badly
needed improvements to a locally important green space as
well as providing an opportunity to increase awareness of the river's
place in local history and its significant heritage value.
It will provide a valuable educational opportunity to raise
awareness of
issues surrounding the way society interacts with local
freshwater environments. A key aim of the work with the
Pang, Kennet & Lambourn Valley Countryside Project will be
to carry out consultation which leads to increased community
involvement and which leaves a good legacy in terms of
improved and ongoing communication with the local community
about the site.
Audience Development Plan RSPB
Rainham Marshes
Carried out research to produce an
Access and Audience Development Plan for Rainham, Wellington
and Aveley Marshes RSPB Nature Reserve for a Heritage
Lottery Grant Application (now approved). The study included
an analysis of current audiences, analysis of the barriers
to participation, setting objectives for audience
development with priority audiences and measurable targets
and developing an action plan to achieve objectives
for each target audience. The second stage involved
assisting the RSPB to develop a business plan for the new
flagship visitor attraction.

Development Plan Wat Tyler Country Park
We completed an Audience Development
Plan for Wat Tyler Country Park in support of a Heritage
Lottery Fund grant application. Our work involved carrying
out a market assessment (including primary research),
identifying barriers which discouraged some potential
visitor groups and suggesting ways to increase visitor
levels.
